Celebrate Mother’s Day while giving back to the environment at Trees for Mum, a family-friendly tree planting event helping to restore the banks of Woogaroo Creek and create a lasting environmental legacy.

Event Details

Trees for Mum takes place on Sunday 10 May 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 36 Mill St, Goodna QLD 4300.

This special event allows families to plant trees in honour of a mother, grandmother, carer, or other important woman in their lives — leaving a green legacy for future generations.

The activity is delivered in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia and Ipswich City Council through the Urban Shade Forest initiative.

• Free for all participants
• Every mother or carer registered receives a complimentary gift and treat, including a coffee at the planting

What You’ll Experience

Tree Planting Ceremony
Plant native trees and shrubs along the banks of Woogaroo Creek, helping to reduce erosion, improve water quality, increase native habitat, and support a cooler, greener Ipswich.

Learn and Connect

Family-Friendly Morning
Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times. The planting area includes loose and sloping surfaces near open waters, so a reasonable level of fitness and balance is recommended.
