DESCRIPTION:Tabletop gaming enthusiasts can enjoy an action-packed weekend of board games\, role-playing games\, miniatures and wargaming at SpringCon TableTop Gaming Convention 2026. Returning for its fifth year\, the convention brings the Greater Springfield Gamers community together at Goodna State School for two full days of games\, tournaments\, workshops\, vendors and social activities. \nWhether you’re a seasoned tabletop gamer\, discovering the hobby for the first time or simply looking for something different to do around Ipswich\, SpringCon offers plenty of opportunities to play\, learn and connect with fellow gaming enthusiasts. \nEvent Overview\nSpringCon TableTop Gaming Convention is organised by Greater Springfield Gamers\, a community of tabletop gaming enthusiasts based in the Greater Springfield area. The 2026 convention marks the event’s fifth year and is designed to welcome both experienced players and people who are new to tabletop gaming. \nThe two-day program covers several areas of tabletop gaming\, including board games\, role-playing games and miniatures wargames. Visitors can take part in learn-to-play sessions and social games\, while more experienced players can compete in dedicated tournaments throughout the weekend. \nBeyond the games themselves\, SpringCon provides opportunities to meet other members of the tabletop community\, discover local vendors and creators\, participate in hobby activities and browse a second-hand market. This makes the convention appealing not only to dedicated gamers but also to visitors curious about the hobby and families looking for an interactive weekend activity. \nHighlights & Schedule\nLearn-to-play sessions: Newcomers can discover tabletop games through learn-to-play opportunities\, making SpringCon a welcoming option for people who may not have much previous experience with board games or role-playing games. \nSocial board games and role-playing games: Join other attendees for relaxed tabletop gaming sessions\, with opportunities to play games\, meet fellow enthusiasts and become part of the local gaming community. \nHobby workshops and painting: Get creative with tabletop hobbies through workshops and painting sessions. These activities provide an opportunity to develop miniature-painting and other hobby skills alongside other enthusiasts. \nWargaming tournaments: Competitive players can put their skills to the test across a range of dedicated wargaming tournaments scheduled throughout the weekend. Saturday’s program includes Firefight\, Bot War\, Star Wars: Shatterpoint and Warhammer 40\,000\, while Sunday’s tournaments include Kings of War\, Infinity and Warmachine. \nLocal vendors and creators: Browse stalls from local vendors\, artists and creators while taking a break between games. The convention provides an opportunity to discover products and creative work connected to the wider tabletop gaming community. \nSecond-hand market: Browse the second-hand market for tabletop gaming finds and potentially discover something new to add to your collection. \nCommunity connections: SpringCon is also about meeting other people who share an interest in tabletop gaming. The Greater Springfield Gamers community welcomes players of different experience levels and backgrounds. \nVisitor Information\nDates: Saturday 3 October – Sunday 4 October 2026 \nTime: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily \nVenue: Goodna State School\, 1 Albert Street\, Goodna QLD 4300 \nSpringCon runs across two full days\, giving visitors plenty of time to participate in games\, explore the convention and attend different activities throughout the weekend. \nAdults require a general admission ticket\, while attendees under 18 can attend free with a ticket and must be accompanied by a paying adult.
